Quatrain team has provided public relations and marketing services
to a who’s who of technology companies, from Microsoft,
Cisco, Symantec, Adaptec and BoldFish to Autodesk, Nishan Systems,
Oracle, Sun Microsystems and ZDNet. We have also worked for some
of the leading agencies in the business: Cunningham Communications,
Wilson McHenry, Neihaus Ryan Wong, Goldberg Moser O’Neill
and Waggoner Edstrom.
Lynn Brainard
A specialist in media and analyst relations, Lynn Brainard has
worked in public relations for more than ten years. She has helped
to develop and manage campaigns for numerous successful companies
across a range of industries, including storage, networking, software,
healthcare, financial services and entertainment. As an independent
consultant, Lynn managed public relations programs and media campaigns
for Alacritech, StoneFly Networks, The Baby Einstein Company, The
Palms Hotel, Lopez Hodes and The Concord Group. Lynn brings to
Quatrain extensive contacts among major media outlets in the trade
press, business publications and broadcasters. Her close relationships
with reporters and editors have brought prominent coverage for
clients in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg/Reuters,
Fortune, Forbes, the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times and
the Boston Globe, as well as television outlets such as CNN and
Politically Incorrect. Lynn is a member of the Public Relations
Society of America, and is also a member of the National Investor
Relations Institute (NIRI).
Kaye McKinzie
Kaye McKinzie has 20 years of experience in journalism and public
relations, with an eight-year specialty representing emerging technology
startups. During this time she developed and executed communication
strategies and repositioning programs for numerous technology companies,
taking them from stealth-to-launch through IPO and acquisition.
She has held both corporate and agency director-level positions,
responsible for strategic communications and public relations programs,
and also worked in film production for 8 years as a lead member
of corporate film production teams, working for creative agencies
Goodby Silverstein and Young & Rubicam. Companies she has represented
in recent years include Adaptec Storage Network Group, BoldFish
(now Siebel), CaseCentral, GoldenGate, Nishan Systems, PlaceWare,
Quote.com, Accuson, HealthCentral (Dr. Dean Edell), Lucas Digital
Media, Oracle Corporation, PBS, Polaroid Company, Quantum, and
Sun Microsystems. She holds a BA from UC Berkeley in Journalism
and Communications, with a minor in Public Policy.
John Pinson
John Pinson directs Quatrain’s editorial and creative services.
A veteran marketing professional, John has worked with many of
the leading brands in the technology industry. Most recently he
headed his own creative marketing services firm, developing written
content such as brochures, web sites, white papers and presentations
for companies including Autodesk, Neoforma, GoldenGate, KPMG, the
McKenna Group and Trinity Ventures. Previously, John worked for
the San Francisco advertising agencies Goldberg Moser O'Neill and
Anderson & Lembke, where he created print and online ads for
companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Dell and Dreyer's Ice Cream.
Earlier in his career, John worked as a staff writer and editor
for Worldview, a pioneering Internet travel publishing company
that merged into Travelocity.com. Under his own byline and as a
ghostwriter John has contributed to many publications, including
Telecommunications Magazine, CNet, the Ivey Quarterly and Computerworld.
In addition, he is the recipient of several writing honors, including
Clio and One Show awards and a Lowell Thomas travel writing award.
John is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Tish Wagner
Tish has worked in marketing, sales and public relations for
more than ten years, specializing in brand awareness and product
launch
programs. Over the course of her career she has represented clients
in the consumer goods and services, education, food/wine and high
technology industries. As an independent Public Relations professional
and as a consultant to agencies such as B2PR over the past five
years, Tish has successfully launched corporate communications
programs for several technology start-ups including: ebrary, Deepfile
Corporation, Bartleby.com, Contivo, eConvergent, eGix, MetiLinx
and Netmosphere. Tish is a graduate of California State University,
San Jose.
Naomi Russi, APR
Naomi Russi has over 16 years experience in public relations
and has accreditation by the Public Relations Society of America.
Naomi’s high tech consulting projects within the last four
years range from media and analyst relations, product launches,
press tours, editorial calendars and special events. She secured
coverage in major daily and business publications such as Wall
Street Journal, Forbes, Business Week, USA Today and CIO. She also
has established relationships with analysts, trade press and secured
stories on new products, companies and service launches. Naomi
has domain experience in several fields, including ASP/ERP, email
marketing, CRM, broadband solutions, DSL, network infrastructure,
messaging, online portals, storage over IP, telecommunications,
network design, XML, mobile wireless, electronic publishing, knowledge
management and data visualization. Previously, Naomi served as
a Director of Public Affairs in the United States Air Force in
various locations around the world, including Tokyo, the Balkans
and Saudi Arabia, and Washington D.C. in areas of media relations,
organizational and internal communications, crisis communications
and media training. Additionally, she was assigned as one of the
first female Air Force officers at The Citadel, in Charleston,
South Carolina, shortly after women were permitted to enter the
school. At The Citadel, she taught leadership and management courses,
including subjects such as speaking and presentation skills and
writing. Naomi earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of
Missouri's Journalism School and a Master's of Science degree in
Organizational and Human Resource Development at Abilene Christian
University.
